Pitch

£200.00

Oak, mild steel, glass beads

The pitched roof is one of the most recognisable forms in domestic architecture; chosen over and over again for both its utility and beauty. A dovetailed bookend is reimagined to reflect the familiar slope, while held in tension by a loom beaded window. When isolated from its walls and foundations, the shadows are free to trace the slopes lines, elongating its gait, asking as to reflect on the roof as a shade giving, life protecting object. Without knowing anything about what it shades, it asks us to see both its humility and ingenuity.
